About FreeCell Two Decks
About freecell-two-decks.com
freecell-two-decks.com is a free place to play FreeCell Two Decks, the 104-card version of FreeCell, right on the home page. Alongside it you will find one-deck FreeCell and a set of other classic solitaire games, one-deck and two-deck. Everything runs in your browser: no download, no sign-up, no account.
The site asks one question of every game: what does a second deck change? We measured it where we could, and we say so plainly where we could not.

One deck or two: a few results
In September 2026 we rebuilt each game in Python, following the rules this site uses, and played numbered deals. Some pairs we could compare:
| Comparison | One deck | Two decks |
|---|---|---|
| FreeCell vs FreeCell Two Decks: solver's first winning line | 62.2 moves (9,913 solved deals) | 148.0 moves (352 solved deals) |
| FreeCell vs FreeCell Two Decks: deals solved | 99.7% of 10,000 | 88.0% of 400, with 12.0% undecided and none proven impossible |
| Klondike vs Solitaire Double: simple bot's wins | 42.3% of 10,000 | 81.5% of 10,000 |
The solvers see every card and the bots never plan or undo, so solver figures are ceilings and bot figures are floors. For Spider, Forty Thieves and Diplomat there is no one-deck version to compare with, and we do not pretend otherwise. Each game page gives full figures, deal counts and 95% ranges.
The games
Two-deck games: FreeCell Two Decks, Solitaire Double, Spider (1, 2 or 4 suits), Forty Thieves and Diplomat. One-deck games include FreeCell, Klondike, Eight Off, Baker's Solitaire, Yukon, Golf, Pyramid and more. The full list is on the games page.
Every game has zoom and fullscreen, Hint, unlimited Undo, Restart and Auto Play. Drag or tap to move, mute the sound or change the table color, on any modern computer, tablet or phone.
How we use AI
An AI assistant, Claude by Anthropic, helped us write and review the simulation code and draft the text on this site. It did not produce any figures. Every number comes from running our code or from a named, linked publication, and our team checked the results and reviewed each page before publishing.
Our standards
- Measured, not guessed. Every figure has a deal count and a 95% range, or a link to its published source.
- Fair comparisons only. When a one-deck and a two-deck figure were measured differently, we say how.
- Gaps admitted. Where no figure exists, the page says so.
- Corrections welcome. If something looks wrong, email us and we will check it.
What you won't find here
No gambling, no real-money play, nothing to buy and no accounts. Your wins and saved games stay in your own browser. See the privacy policy for what is stored and the terms of use for the ground rules. Longer articles are on the blog.
